  2. Problem/Current Solution No dedicated platform where students can communicate with their classmates quickly and efficiently – They are forced to use multiple applications for communications, planning events and information seeking

  3. Competitive Landscape • Facebook • Great for general class/ block conversations. • Cannot filter by group/ cause • Google + • Groups could create Circles. • Doesn’t allow for filtering. Duplicate accounts • Campus Groups • Not optimized for Mobile. • Blocks/ Classes use Facebook instead

OUR solution • Stern Talk Mobile App • Combines events, posts, school questions in one spot to which everyone has access • Designed to foster community at Stern by facilitating communication among students • Institutionalizing knowledge management and transfer through a communication and information hub • Instant and constant access by students via mobile phones

  19. Tech problems and hurdles • Learning Curve with new platform. Ample amount of time spent to learn the architecture and functionality of the platform • Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'getAssetsCollection' of undefined • Error is display image retrieval from the database. • Page event sort problem • Event clicked color changed: issue brought to class notice.
