Optional 5th Year (Masters) • 5 Year Programmes • All programmes offered by the School of Electronic Engineering, and the School of Mechanical & Manufacturing engineering offer an optional 5th year to gain the Masters qualification & bring students in line with the Engineers Ireland Chartered Engineer requirements.

Entry Requirements • So what do you need? • B.Eng Courses: • You need to make the general DCU entry requirements: HC3 in 2 honours and 4 passes overall • Leaving Cert Honours Maths? • HC3 or higher • B.Sc in Manufacturing Engineering with Business Studies • D3 at Higher level, or C3 at Ordinary level maths • D3 in Higher level in a science subject

  16. Open Opportunities • Available to a small number of students • Interview based • Successful completion of Open Opportunities course allows entry into either 1st or 2nd year of the B.Eng programmes • To be considered, you must list DCU programme on CAO application
