Fine Arts Program rated Exemplary HANNA CHOIR ACHIEVEMENTS Hanna has one of the finest choir programs in the State of Texas & the Southwestern United States Hanna HS Varsity Men’s Choir was the ONLY men’s choir invited to perform at the 2014 Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio Invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City, April 2015 6 students selected for the TMEA District Treble Choir.17 students selected for the TMEA District Mixed Choir. 6 students selected for the TMEA Area Choir. 4 All-State Choir Members 8 Texas Music Scholars Awards 6 UTB YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION Grand Champion in the Senior Vocal Division of the UTB YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION 67 First Divisions at UIL SOLO & ENSEMBLE UIL Concert & Sight-Reading—3 Sweepstakes Awards & 2 First Division Awards Amazing Band Pigskin Competition Hanna High School

Insert picture(s) here Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Recognized The student council created an event, “The Mile of Hope” to inform and educate the entire district on “Breast Cancer Awareness”. It was conducted under the direction of Club Sponsor Elizabeth Rocha and Kyle Fischer, student. Hanna High School

  4. Community and Parental Involvement rated Exemplary Parents are actively involved in the decision making of Hanna High School. Parental Meetings are held weekly and every Thursday of the month. The meetings entice discussions over: grades, discipline issue, opportunities for scholarships and Parents attend Dual Enrollment, TM and Pre-AP / AP meetings on campus. Hanna High School

  5. 21st Century Workforce Development rated Recognized The 21st Century Programs offers many opportunities for the students such as: End Of Course Tutorials are offered STARS Credit Recovery Program J.R.O.T.C. students placed 1st Place overall at P.S.J.A. J.R.O.T.C. Skills on March 22nd. Hanna High School

  6. Second Language Acquisition Program Recognized ELL students have the opportunity to attend the Lucha Lab. Different E.S.L methods are applied for the acquisition of the English Language. Students are exposed to the different types of writings in their second language. Counselors provide guidance to ELL to achieve the max of credits and support for college decisions. Students participated in different technology competitions that allowed them to demonstrate their expertise by obtaining top awards. Hanna High School

Laura Sierra, Program Specialist • Office Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Recognized The Hanna High School Dropout Prevention Program is a targeted, multi-tiered and comprehensive dropout prevention, intervention and recovery program that addresses the needs of potential dropouts, students who have dropped out and their families. Program includes dedicated a dropout  specialist to recover students, an at-risk counselor, a juvenile probation officer and a CIS counselor to assess and address social needs, an individual learning plan to review and address academic concerns.  Hanna High School

  9. Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized Hanna High School has a total of 322 G.T. students under different academic areas. These students seek post high school education by attending classes offering dual enrollment college credit. Hanna High School
