  1. Our Story As one of the few great Champagne houses still owned by the family that founded it, Louis Roederer is a leading figure in Champagne excellence whose reputation shines worldwide. With nearly 250 years of history, it has contributed greatly to the global prestige of Champagne wines, establishing its legend at the court of the Russian Tsar, creating the first "prestige cuvée," and implementing cutting-edge environmental practices for the region. 2. The History of Louis Roederer Champagne

  3. A PHILOSOPHY THAT SEDUCED THE TSARS The Maison Louis Roederer's history began in 1776 in Reims under the name Dubois Père & Fils. It would not take its definitive name until 1833 when Louis Roederer inherited the Estate from his uncle and introduced a revolutionary change for the time: managing his vineyard to guarantee the quality and consistency of his supplies. In 1908, Nicholas II, grandson of Alexander II, designated the Maison Louis Roederer as "Official Supplier to the Court of His Majesty the Emperor" and authorized it to feature the Tsar's coat of arms on the bottles – they still appear there today.

  4. EXCEPTIONAL WOMEN While remaining in the same family during the 19th and 20th centuries, the Maison Louis Roederer also passed twice into the hands of charismatic women: in 1880, Léonie Olry-Roederer succeeded her brother Louis Roederer II at the head of the house, and in 1932, Camille Olry-Roederer, widow of Léon Olry-Roederer, took the reins following her husband's death. While the Estate was in great financial difficulty following the economic consequences of World War I, the Russian Revolution, Prohibition in the United States, and the 1929 crisis, Camille Olry-Roederer, who would remain in charge for over 40 years, contributed to restoring all the splendor to the Maison Louis Roederer.

  5. BIODIVERSITY AT THE SERVICE OF GREAT WINES Convinced that a great champagne is made in partnership between Man and Nature, the Louis Roederer teams have long been committed to environmental protection, favoring the preservation of biodiversity and respect for living things. "We are not artists. The great artist, with us, is Nature, and we are each year the interpreters of what she wants to give us," emphasizes Frédéric Rouzaud.

  7. MULTI-VINTAGE WINES True to the great blending tradition that is Champagne's DNA, Louis Roederer established the foundations of its range on its multi-vintage cuvées, starting with Collection cuvée: this unique signature, rich in nuances from a specific harvest, is supported by the contribution of patiently preserved blends in the House's cellars in a Perpetual Reserve created in 2012, then sublimated by a wide selection of reserve wines from previous vintages, matured in French oak vats.

  8. VINTAGE WINES All of Louis Roederer's vintage Champagnes are estate wines made entirely from the Maison's plots. The "Vintage" cuvée is the flagship of Louis Roederer's vintages. Made only in the best years, this cuvée aims to capture the highest expression of Pinot Noir from the vineyard of "La Montagne," concentrated around the first vines purchased by the Maison. It is therefore the witness of an exceptional vintage, the photograph of a terroir passed through a slow maturation that extends over the years.

  9. CRISTAL Forged by time and a unique chalky terroir, Cristal is the flagship of Maison Louis Roederer. Created in 1876 at the special request of Tsar Alexander II, this exceptional cuvée from 45 plots, mainly Grands Crus, is only produced in years when maturity reaches perfection. This powdery, chalky, and luminous champagne is a slow construction driven by haute couture artisanal viticulture. Cristal is the ultimate experience, designed with the idea of revelation over the long term, which refine with the years to gain in depth, delicacy of texture, and diversity of aromas.

  10. BRUT NATURE AND BRUT NATURE ROSÉ Born from the collaboration between Frédéric Rouzaud, CEO of Maison Louis Roederer, Cellar Master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, and designer Philippe Starck, the "Brut Nature" cuvée aims to be a fresh champagne made from grapes grown in the clay soils of Cumières, in a sunny year - first in 2006, then 2009, 2012, and 2015 - with no added sugar (zero dosage). The Rosé version includes a small proportion of Pinot Noir grapes, harvested separately and infused at cold temperature for a few days without alcoholic fermentation, before being blended with the Brut Nature Blanc juice.

  11. HOMMAGE À CAMILLE In tribute to Camille Olry-Roederer, a daring and audacious widow who led the Maison from 1932 to 1975, this collection of still Champagnes explores a different expression of the Champagne region's terroirs. The Camille Charmont cuvée is a 100% Pinot Noir from a plot in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, named Charmont. The Camille Volibarts is made from historic old vines from Mesnil-sur-Oger, exposed to the southeast, with slow and gentle growth, ideally suited for producing a great white wine.
