  4. Words that evoke emotion are called connotation. • Positive • Negative

  5. Propaganda • is used to spread information to help or hurt a cause. • One technique used in propaganda is the use of connotation to evoke feelings in the listener/reader.

  6. Propaganda • simplifies complex issues, is biased, geared to achieving a particular end, plays on emotions, and defines a cause. It can be true, partially true, or blatantly false.
