  4. Lecture Objectives Upon the completion of this course, you should be able to: • Use animation software which is emphasizing all the concepts and principles to create digital animation. • Create simple character movements in 2D or 3D animation.

  5. Course structure The 14 weeks of classes: • 1 week add-and-drop & installation of software • 5 weeks to learn and master Adobe Flash • 5weeks to learn and master 3ds Max • 1 week to present the output + prepare for exam Replacement classes: Week 1

  6. List of tasks & expected outputs • Two inter-linked assignments • Two sets of tutorials in lab* • Self-study & self-exploration hours Ref: Assignment specs

  7. List of skills required to complete tasks • Figure / facial expression drawing & colouring • Design • Storyboarding • Animating • 3D modeling, texturing, lighting & rendering
