  2. Sauerkraut soup • Sauerkraut soup is traditional Slovak soup for Christmas or New Years Ave. Sauerkraut soup can be prepared in a lots of way, it differs from region to region.

  3. Ingredients: • 1kg sauerkraut • 2 cloves of garlic • 1 sausage • 0.5 kg pork • 1 smoked-meat • 2 small onions • 3 spoons of red pepper • dried mushrooms • water • black pepper, salt, chilli, laurel bay • oil

  4. Instructions: • 1. Put the pieces of onions into the hot oil. When it's roasted put the red pepper into it and mix it. After it put the pieces of pork into the roasted onion. Then mix it and put the black pepper, laurel bay, chili and salt into it. Slowly stawe it. Meanwhile put the dried mushrooms into the bowl with hot water.

  5. 2. When the pork is half-soft put the smoked-meat into it. If it need water, pour the water into the pot. The pork next stew and put the soaked mushrooms into it. Meanwhile, slice the sauerkraut and put it into the bowl with water and boil it.

  6. 3. When the pork is soft, put the sauerkraut into it. Mix it and pour into it more water. The sauerkraut soup still boil. After 20-30 minutes the soup season with salt. At the end put the sliced sausage into it and while boil it.
