  1. Automated Digital Network System ADNS Inc IIB

  2. Summary of INC-IIb install • Install LQoSMAN 5.0 (Linux software) • Install High Speed SATCOM path from the ADNS router bypassing the Timeplex (adding High Speed Patch Panels and FOM’s) • Activate PacketShaper compression

  3. ADNS INC IIb Capabilities • Converged IP (voice and data) • Ship’s telephone and secure voice integrated via commercial VoIP trunk gateway. • SCIP-IWF (SCD 1418) prior or concurrent install • Timeplex bypassed • eliminates the 2Mbps per link restriction • Eliminates use of Gate Guard non POR sys, all messaging will be handled through FMS and CUDIX. • Eliminates Timeplex chat, SIPR chat will be utilized in it’s place

  4. ADNS INC IIb Capabilities • LQoSMAN 5.0 • Linux Based • Fewer security updates (MSU) • Improves security and generates more useful reports • Natively SSH (Secure Shell) compliant • SSH (Telnet replacement) • SFTP (FTP replacement) • SCP (TFTP replacement)

  5. ADNS INC IIb Capabilities • PacketShaper Compression • Increased network capacity • Accelerates data delivery over the network • Creating greater throughput • Faster performance • Eases congestion on saturated links improving performance of mission critical applications • Compression increased throughput by a factor of 1.4 during NIMITZ LOE • Not all data is not compressible • Real time applications • Previously compressed data: MP3, JPEG, MPEG • PacketShaper offers several compression related graphs

  6. RF Support for SOVT SCIP-IWF CONCURRENT • Pier connectivity • SHF must be requested a minimum of 50 days in advance. Minimum Data rate to request for WSC-6: IF SCIP-IWF UPGRADE IS DONE CONCURENTLY 2 SAR/GAR’s WILL BE REQUIRED First SAR/GAR for legacy testing of SCIP-IWF/ADNS system 3 days at minimum of 384K SHF [Ship must request at least 50-days in advance] For SHF -> SCIP-IWF requires the addition of one line item to current SHF SAR template's Base Band Equipment section: 1:8:2 SCIP-IWF 128K ADNS requires current channel with a minimum of 384K Second SAR/GAR for minimum of 7days at 1.544Mbps Follow the basic template of GCIB 7. • 1. SAR follow CIB format. • 2. Select the appropriate GAR. Follow the format. Add PIM, dates, POC etc....

  7. Keymat requirements • Applicable Transec/comsec for KIV-7’s. • NIPR, SCI, and CENTRIX TACLANE electronic keymat must be downloaded prior to SOVT start.

  11. Ship’s Force Support Required FOR SOVT: • Load TACLANE, KIV-7’s with keymat. • Obtain SHF, access for the SOVT for the duration of the SOVT. • Ensure the same ADNS technicians are available for classroom training and OJT. • Provide authorized personnel to witness SOVT and AIT line items. • Final signatures. • NOTE: DURING RF TESTING THERE WILL BE PERIODS OF DOWN TIME WHILE SWITCHING BETWEEN SYSTEMS AND PIER. • If SCIP-IWF upgrade is being completed concurrently • Pick up 2 KG-175 E100’S one for ADNS and one for SCIP-IWF installs. KG-175’s need to be firmware ver 2.x and software ver 4.x.
