Tech Mahindra Foundation: Empowering Lives by Enhancing Employability Employability enhancement programs are designed to bridge the gap between the skills that employees possess and the competencies that the firm seeks. These programs aid undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students, as well as students who have not completed their diploma or graduation. The major goal of our employment program is to help students kick-start their careers by finding work at a reputable firm or starting their own commercial business. Why Join an Employability Program? It has been discovered that most people lack the specific skills required by the company, making them ineligible for the position. As a result, some individuals have difficulty finding work or finding an acceptable career. Tech Mahindra Foundation's masterfully constructed employment program attempts to find solutions through one-of-a-kind skill training that ensures work objectives. We are committed to providing a platform for prospective individuals to understand the needs of businesses and hold the right mix of skills, talents, and traits for enhancing employability. What are the most important employability skills that you'll learn? ● Collaboration and communication: It is critical for everyone to be able to communicate clearly. It is important to collaborate, and your job may need you to communicate effectively with both: coworkers and customers. ● Management and organization: Most aspects of life need you to organize your time and resources. Management is a soft talent that is necessary for every career, including your university years. You might find yourself working on several projects at the same time,
which means you'll have to manage your time and priorities. Being organized can greatly simplify your life! ● Ability to think critically: Critical thinking is the ability to think critically about an issue, a piece of information, or an argument before making a decision. It necessitates both creative and rational thinking. Employers value critical thinking as a subtle skill since it is common for them to ask their staff to come up with innovative solutions to complex challenges. ● Computer knowledge: Because there are few occupations that do not need the use of a computer, it's easy to see why companies prize computer literacy. The more acquainted you are with computers, the better prepared you will be for a new career. You'll be much better equipped for the business world if you can obtain expertise with Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs. ● Leadership: Although you are unlikely to start your career in a leadership role, having the attributes of a leader is advantageous, notably if you want to grow your career efficiently. Taking charge of a team project is an example of leadership. Just keep in mind that becoming a good leader isn't the same as being dictatorial or attempting to be the centre of attention all of the time! Why Choose Tech Mahindra Foundation's Employability Program? ● The Skills-for-Market Training or SMART Program, which began in 2012 with three locations, is our flagship employability program. It trained 350 youth in its first year of operation through various skill development training. ● The initiative is gradually expanding to empower youngsters with skill development training in 11 different Indian cities. This skill development training program has been successful in bridging the demand-supply gap in a variety of manufacturing and service industries. ● The SMART initiative has been implemented by the Foundation through the establishment of a network of Centres and Academies - both directly and through other implementing bodies.
● We've become an enabling partner for the YuWaah Organization, which helps India's young by linking them to aspirational socioeconomic possibilities and empowering them to be engaged changemakers. ● Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI) has teamed with us to give career-focused coaching to our SMART students. By enhancing our students' careers, confidence, and abilities, this relationship will assist us in creating an environment of opportunity for them. We have been running our program through: ● SMART Academies: Since May 2016, the Foundation has started operating SMART Academies with the goal of providing advanced and longer-term training in a variety of specialized fields. We currently have eight Tech Mahindra SMART Academies, with four SMART Academies dedicated to healthcare, three SMART Academies dedicated to digital technologies, and one SMART Academy dedicated to logistics. These academies or vocational training institutes were established with two goals in mind: to develop sophisticated industry-specific skills in healthcare, digital technology, and logistics and to turn students into world-class professionals. ● SMART Centers: Our SMART centers seek to equip youth from economically disadvantaged areas of the city with employability skills training. The recipients receive skill training through a well-structured training program, ensuring that they are put in suitable and respectable jobs upon completion of the course. The foundational abilities for a job, such as Spoken English, Basic IT, and Workplace Readiness, are prioritized in the SMART program.
