Smart Centres By Tech Mahindra The Smart Academy is an initiative of Tech Mahindra to bring out candidates who are not just trained in various technical fields but are also employment ready. The smart skills program is run in eight centers of SMART academics situated in Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Mohali, and Visakhapatnam. The education imparted in these centers is broken up into three segments: ● SMART academics for Healthcare - This is the center for paramedical courses and is available in Delhi, Mumbai, Mohali, and Pune. To date, around 1380 youth have been trained in various paramedical courses such as Cardiac technology, medical lab technology, operation technician, dialysis technician, nursing care, hospital store assistant, medical sales representative, X-ray and imaging technology, and many more. There are a total of thirteen paramedical courses being taught in state-of-the-art premier facilities of SMART academy. Tech Mahindra foundation launched these academies to fight the enormous scarcity of trained healthcare professionals in 2012 (around 64.1 lakh) and also as a remedy for the increased unemployment rate (5%.) ● SMART academics for Digital technologies - This era has seen the ultimate rise of digital technologies, which has resulted in a rapid increase in demand

3. for people trained in digital platforms. To meet this exponential rise in demand, Tech Mahindra Foundation launched its first digital SMART academy in 2017. The academy has all the latest systems, software, and techniques to educate youth as per industry standards. There are six different digital certification courses taught in the classrooms and labs. The courses offered here are PHP full stack development, UI/UX development, graphic design, .Net full stack development, digital marketing and AWS programs, visual effect, video editing, motion graphics, Java full-stack development, and Android development. ● SMART academics for Logistics - Logistics is the backbone of many industries and economies. A business is always looking for a cost-effective and efficient flow of goods. To cater to this segment, Tech Mahindra Foundation launched its SMART academy for Logistics and Supply Chain Management in 2018. In training, students learn a gamut of topics such as lean chain, transportation management, warehousing, strategic sourcing, constraints management, and many others. SMART Academy and Employability Skills The SMART centers aim to empower people from weaker economic sections by giving them various technical training along with employability skills. The students learn skills through a structured program specific to that industry. On top of that, students also learn foundation skills like spoken English, IT, and workplace readiness so that when they come out of the institute, they are placed smoothly into dignified posts. The academy offers a total of 50 courses in 15 domains where it does not leave behind women or persons with disabilities.
