Vocational training program for disabled- SMART+ (Skills-for Market Training for Persons with Disabilities) By Tech Mahindra Launched in the year 2013, SMART+ (Skills-for Market Training for Persons with Disabilities) focuses on the skill development of people with disabilities.
The curriculum of the program is specially designed to meet the needs of people with a wide range of disabilities (sight impairment, hearing/speech impairment, and locomotors disabilities). The program consists of a few foundation skills and several sector-specific skills that prepare the candidates for different job opportunities. Foundation skills are the basic skills that are a prerequisite for bagging any kind of job. These skills prepare the candidates for better job opportunities. The foundation skills included during this program are- ● Basic IT and Computers ● Workplace Readiness ● Spoken English The sector-specific skills in the program prepare the candidates for a job in a particular industry. Sector-specific skills offered in SMAR+ are- ● Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) ● Hospitality ● IT-Enabled Services (ITES) ● Retail ● Healthcare ● Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Curriculum and Infrastructure The needs of the differently-abled vary from others and special attention and care got to be paid to satisfy them. The curriculum for this program has been specially curated to meet the needs of differently-abled people. The classrooms are designed to maximise the comfort of youngsters. They're well-equipped to satisfy their requirements and promote effective learning and communication amongst students and teachers. Sarthak JEET (Job Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Training) program Sarthak JEET caters to the needs of people with disability between the ages of 18 to 35. The program provides vocational skill-building training and sustainable employment opportunities to people with disabilities so that they can be financially independent.

ARISE+ (All Round Improvement in class Education for youngsters with Disabilities ) Tech Mahindra Foundation has introduced this program for the differently-abled children between the ages of 3-18 years who are studying in government schools. The program assists them in becoming confident and determined adults. Under this program, TMF supports various organizations that are working for the education of differently-abled children across the country. By providing students with guidance and helping them meet their needs, TMF aims at making differently-abled students become a part of mainstream education. The program also counsels and educates the families of these students and sensitizes them on different issues.
