Its wealthy deposits of minerals give a solid starting pad for all types of Industries. The state with an area of 74,677 sqm. And inhabitants of 26 million have an unlimited range of progress and development. Jharkhand is generously endowed with such nutrient which probably no other region in the country sustains. 33% of the country's coal reserves are within Jharkhand. Apart from coal Jharkhand inherits enormous reserves of other mineral deposits like iron ore, bauxite, copper, chromite, china clay, dolomite, granite, mica, magnetite, titanium, tungsten, uranium, Kyanite, precious metal felspar, quartzite etc. Besides minerals, Jharkhand is gifted with enough water resources, relatively moderate climate and an extremely fertile land, providing tremendous scope for hydel power generation, floriculture, and horticulture. The state offers a huge pool of trained manpower, good educational & technical institutions, research laboratories, a good industrial climate, good rail, road & telecommunication network. Jharkhand is a landlocked place bound by the state of Bihar on the north, Orissa to the south, West Bengal in the east, and Chattisgarh on the west. The state of Jharkhand stretches between 83 degrees east and 87.75 degrees east longitudes and 22 degrees north and 25.50 degrees north latitudes approximately. Tectonically, these areas have observed three organic and natural movements that are responsible also in charge of the rich mineral deposits found in the state. Jharkhand has a portion of the wealthiest deposits of iron and coal on the planet apart from being truly a part of one of the very most industrialized areas in the country. Additionally, it is endowed with a wealthy forest cover also. The radial centrifugal drainage system of Jharkhand involves rivers like Subarnrekha, Koel, Ajoi, Barakar, Damodar, Mor, Bokaro, Auranga, More, Karo, Bansloi, South Koel, Kharkai, and konar. Many of these rivers are relatively dry during summer, but exhibit torrential flow, rapids and falls through the monsoon season.
