  1. Testicular Torsion- Prevention and Symptoms High impact sports like Baseball, Football and Rugby account for various testicular injuries; therefore it is always suggested to avoid a few mistakes which could lead to such serious health issues. Here, I have discussed a few tips following which can save you from the dangers of testicular injuries. Always wear Protective Underwear as Jockstraps- Jockstraps are designed with a front pouch or protection cup that holds the male genitalia in a firm position. Jockstraps underwear for men provides excellent testicular support. Jockstraps are available in a number of materials and cuts to allow for the best performance in various sports. Thick waistbands or moisture-controlling fabric may be unwanted or unnecessary to swimmers but desirable to football players. Wearing a jock strap may help deal with chronic testicular pain because they will support the testes.

  2. A jockstrap delivers multiple benefits to its wearer: it doesn’t cover the legs at all, often provides a highly-engineered pouch, and allows for multidirectional access and mobility. Therefore, it is generally considered a great choice while protection from sports injuries. Symptoms of Testicular Torsion- The symptoms of testicular torsion include Pain in the testicle Pain in the lower abdomen Vomiting Nausea Sudden pain in the testicle What leads to Testicular Torsion? Testicular torsion occurs when a testicle rotates on the spermatic cord, which provides blood flow to the testicle. As a result, the flow of blood is stopped causing sudden, often severe pain and swelling. Prolonged testicular torsion results in the death of the testicle and surrounding tissues. Generally, testicular torsion requires emergency surgery. If treated within a few hours, the testicle can usually be saved. However, waiting longer for treatment can cause permanent damage and may affect the ability to father children. When blood flow has been cut off for too long, a testicle may become so badly damaged it has to be removed. Testicular torsion is most common in males 10 to 25 years old, but it can occur at any age. About 65 percent of cases occur in adolescents between 12 to 18 years of age. It occurs in about 1 of 4,000 males before the age of 25. Testicular torsion is considered a medical emergency and usually requires surgery within four to six hours if the testicle is to be saved. An ultrasound of the scrotum most often confirms this diagnosis by showing the absence of blood flowing to the testicle.

  3. A surgeon, or urologist, sometimes will stitch the testicle in place so the torsion doesn't reoccur. If the condition is diagnosed quickly and immediately corrected, the testicle may continue to function properly. After six hours of torsion, the chances that the testicle will need to be removed increases. Sometimes even with less than six hours of torsion, the testicle may lose its ability to function. (Remember, you only need one testicle to produce testosterone and to father a child. Testosterone is also produced by the adrenal glands.) So, in order to prevent from the testicular injuries wearing the right underwear type is essentially important. Jockstraps underwear for men proves to be a great choice and is highly effective.
