  2. Outages • Web Hotel • 7/13: scheduled outage at 0647 to replace memory • 7/14: crash/reboot at 0910, 0927, and 1345 due to memory errors • 7/15: scheduled outage 1710-1720 to replace memory

  3. Outages • WBOB power failure 8/10 • Affected: • E-mail service, especially AutoFiled storage • LISTSERV service • UMCal service

  4. GopherMail 2.0 • Went live 7/21 • So far so good (knock on simulated woodgrain)

  5. Upcoming IP Changes • New IP 134.84.159.80 to be added to DNS on 8/14 10:00 am for: • www.umn.edu • x500.umn.edu • tc.umn.edu • umn.edu • tfauth-ldap.umn.edu • New IP is on load balancer • Other IPs will be retired as other servers are moved onto load balancer

  6. Bits ‘n’ Bytes • Student feed to directory frequency increased to twice a day (from once) • May get even more frequent • Staff feed is 4 times daily • IS group moves to WBOB mid-Sept.
