Finn cardigan bruce • Started making (directing and producing) films whilst at Hurtwood House • Founded and owns Belstone Pictures • Also owns FCB Productions – group of services and companies within the media ‘creative’ industry • Services within FCB Productions include: • Bonnebouche Media (feature film production), The Gentleman’s Journal (Luxury magazine), The Bigger Picture (Mental Health charity), Apollo Travel Buddy (Travel Tech), Floan (Travel financing) and more. • His involvement with other businesses could impact the production of entertainment produced by Belstone studios – businesses could invest and provide a higher budget, be involved in advertising or production itself.
Actors, directors and small institutions • Due to Belstone Pictures being a small company – it tends to work with the same directors. • They usually work with actors that accept a reasonably low salary which cuts down the expenses during production. • The advantage of a small institution is that usually they can produce higher quality small scale projects – their budget is low meaning they have to thoroughly think through every purchase and expense.
Institutions box office successes • Highest grossing film the company has produced - Tank 432 • Tank 432’s budget was $100,000 – it was however considered a failure due to bad reviews. Belstone Pictures did manage to sign a contract with Netflix where you can now view the film • ‘Tucked’ was released in 2018 – produced with a budget of $300,00 – 600,000
Films • Belstone Pictures have released 3 feature films, 1 TV show and 3 short films • There is also one film in post production • As well as 9 in pre-production
