Simply find a box size that suits your needs and fits the gift and either use it as is by covering the printing and using some paper or disassemble it, refold all the folds in the opposite direction to expose the inner side on the outside now and then reassemble it by gluing the flaps again. With Circle Labels Regular colored circle labels can be used to make a polka dot pattern on to the box. By varying the colors and/or the sizes of the labels a fun confetti decoration can be achieved. With Stamps Stamps are a great tool to have. They come in various types, wood mounted rubber or even clear rubber ones. With Rub ons Another option for decorating is using rub-ons. Rub-ons are also easily available in stores and have quite a few options and endless designs ranging from words to graphics. The basic rub- ons are the sort that are printed and you can simply apply them to the surface by rubbing using a popsicle stick and they get transferred. Another type are the adhesive rub-ons, they transfer the same way as regular rub-ons but once you remove the plastic the exposed side has adhesive on it and you can use transfer foils or glitter on it to have custom gift boxes that will be unique on the go.
