Ballet Plié: A ballet movement in which the knees are bent pli•é while the back is held straight. Plié is a continuous movement from the starting position through the plié and back to the original position. There should be a slight pause in the plié and then the movement should continue through to the starting position.
Positions of Plié Plié can be done in all 5 of the dance positions.
