Jamestown 4-H Educational Center General Conclusions from Pre-Retreat Survey • Surveyed were 4-H Agents, Board of Directors & Staff • Feedback from 28 of the 32 individuals polled • Mission statement needs to be updated • Summer camp and specialty camps were rated highest in importance for program development Observations by Group • Agents believe in the importance of 4-H camp for youth development and recognize the need for updating facilities including the addition of classroom space and technology updates • Board members seemed genuinely visionary but come across as being somewhat removed from the practical issues faced by full time staff and agents • Staff seemed sincerely engaged and interested in working to achieve a quality product (From 2008 Strategic Planning Survey)

Jamestown 4-H Educational Center Current Mission Jamestown 4-H Educational Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of youth and adult volunteers through innovative 4-H camping, environmental education, and leadership training. Draft of New Mission Jamestown 4-H Educational Center, Inc. fosters change in the lives of youth and adults by building character, values and esteem through hands-on training, camping and conferences.

Jamestown 4-H Educational Center Why is this important Our Projected Needs • Shore Restoration ($250,000) • Roofing ($25,000 - $30,000 for 6 new roofs) • New pool pump house ($20,000) • Porch refurbishment ($10,000) • Arts & Craft / Store Renovation • Road upgrade • Future Master Plan • Endowments, Scholarships, etc.
