  3. Most inclusive of all the student organizations. For every fully registered student. Began in the 1920-1921 school year. First general association. First campaign was for cheering at a football game in 1920 Student Association

  4. Students having similar interests felt the need to get better acquainted These clubs did not often survive a long time. The Square and Compass Club stated in 1922 is the oldest one of this group still active Special Interest Clubs

  5. There are eight religious organizations on the campus The oldest, Young Women’s Christian Association. The second oldest is the Newman Club, which is catholic students and started in 1921. Religious Organizations

  6. Ther are sixteen active social fraternities and soroties. They are all Greek. There are seven fraternities and nine sororities. The oldest fraternity is Sigma Tau Gamma it began in 1940. The oldest sorortity is Alpha Chi Omega it began in 1951. Social Fraternities and Sororities

  7. There are nine honarry sociities. The reuire high academics and special qualifications for membership The oldest is the coeducational science fraternity, Kapp Rho Sigman which started in 1920. Honorary Societies
