  1. Why should you watch Rishtey? There are a large number of TV channels in India. In fact, India has got the largest number of TV channels. This is partly because of the huge population of the country, the majority of which are avid viewers of television and partly of the number of languages spoken in the country. The entertainment networks of India aim to cater to the demands of audiences of all tastes and linguistic groups of the country. The best television network in this regard is Viacom 18, which manages at least 20 channels on Indian television. The flagship channel of Viacom 18 is Colors, which is also the leading Hindi entertainment channel in today’s time. A number of drama shows and reality shows aired on Colors enjoy top TRPs on Indian television. According to a recent survey, almost 80 percent of the total number of Indian TV viewers watch at least one programme on Colors. Viacom 18 is probably the smartest entertainment network operational in India. As it is well aware of the position of Colors among all other Indian TV channels, it keeps on developing newer programmes for the channel. However, at the same time, it does not want to lose the chance of capitalizing on the success of its already established programmes. So, it launched a channel solely for the re-runs of Colors programmes, which were loved by audiences. This way, Viacom 18 is able to develop fresh content on Colors, and air its already popular programmes on a separate channel for people who could not catch them the first time. Rishteyis a mirror image of Colors. You would find all the TV programmes of Colorson Rishtey, albeit aired with a delay of a few weeks. Recently, they have also started airing the re-runs of superhit TV programmes from Pakistan and Middle-eastern countries owing to their growing popularity. Its niche content has earned the channel a dedicated audience. Viacom 18 has also launched Rishtey Cineplex, which specializes in movies from the retro period. It is quite surprising that Indian movies from the periods of 1960s to 1980s still have a strong fan base and Rishtey Cineplex is here to cater to them.
