A Youth Ministry Team: - provides community ownership and common approach - is connected and accountable to community leadership - pools skills, ideas, support and resources - coordinates and oversees youth ministry - is made up of adults and young people involved in youth ministry - helps to make youth ministry sustainable

Archdiocesan Support • Archdiocesan Commission for Ministry with Young People The Commission seeks to work collaboratively withother appropriate Church bodies to ensure that Catholic young people between the ages of twelve and thirty have coherent and coordinated opportunities to encounter the person and vision of Jesus Christ, and subsequent faith development opportunities that form them in the three vital dimensions of Christian faith presented in the Archdiocesan vision through the words Jesus Communion Mission. Archdiocesan Support • Youth & Children’s Ministry The Youth and Children’s Ministry (YCM) team assists deaneries and parishes to nurture Catholic Christian spirituality in young people from sacramental initiation to early twenties. YCM provides support, resources and training to assist deaneries and parishes to help young people connect faith & life. Archdiocesan Support • Brisbane WYD Secretariat The Brisbane WYD Secretariat coordinates the planningand implementation of the Archdiocese’s participation in all elements of WYD 2008 and ensuing its impact on the Archdiocese. Brisbane WYD NET Team The Brisbane WYD NET Team will be working through the WYD Secretariat until the end of October 2008 and will provide a range of services to parish and school communities. The team will focus on the provision of formation and faith development experiences centred around the themes of WYD08. School and parish communities can draw upon the WYD NET team to assist in their debrief of WYD08. Archdiocesan Support • Vocations Office The Vocations office seeks to help young people understand and experience the relevance and importance of God’s call in their life and the impact they can have in today’s world. If your young people have questions about God’s call on their life, the vocations of Marriage, Priesthood, Consecrated life or Single life, the Vocations office is available to run retreat seminars and events for school and parish.
