  1. What is TPIN? TPIN is an abbreviation for Transaction Personal Identification Number. It is a six-digit PIN assigned to each beneficial owner (BO) of securities by the depository (CDSL or NSDL). The TPIN is required to sell securities from a demat account. In the world of stock trading, TPIN functions similarly to a digital key that permits you to sell your shares. You cannot sell your shares without your TPIN, even if you have the right to do so. I hope you understood what is TPIN. How does TPIN work? When you place a sell order on a stock, you must submit your TPIN. The OTP will be delivered to your registered mobile phone number and email address. To authorize the selling of your shares, you must enter OTP. The TPIN is a two-factor authentication system that aids in the protection of your assets against illegal access. The first is your knowledge of your TPIN number, and the second is possession of your registered mobile phone number and email address. For example, if you purchased 100 shares of Infosys on Monday and plan to sell them on Thursday, you would issue a sell order through your broker. Your broker would then make a sale request to the depository. Your TPIN would be checked by the depository to ensure that you are permitted to sell the shares. If your TPIN is correct, the depository will sell your shares as soon as they are allowed. Now that you understand what a TPIN is, you can buy and sell shares in the stock market, but first master the stock market's tactics and trades from the Best stock market learning program "StockDaddy." Then you can delve deeper into the stock market and trade using specialized tactics such as Buy Now Sell Later. Learn everything there is to know about BTST trading and its tactics.

  2. How to generate TPIN? You can obtain a TPIN via your depository participant (DP) or from the depository's website. For example, if you go to the CDSL website, you may just click on the right where you will find an option to produce Tpin. To generate TPIN through your DP, you must submit your PAN and demat account number. To generate a TPIN on the depository's website, provide your PAN, demat account number, registered mobile phone number, and email address. The CDSL TPIN, a six-digit PIN, was launched in June 2020 as an alternative to the previously necessary Power of Attorney (PoA) for online trading. To trade online, CDSL customers no longer need to sign a PoA. Conclusion TPIN is a simple yet effective method of preventing unauthorized access to your stocks. TPIN acts as a firewall, protecting your shares from hackers, and if you have a Demat account, it is critical to generate and store your TPIN. The notion of TPIN is critical for all traders who purchase and sell shares on a regular basis, especially scalpers. If you want to do scalping trading, you should first learn what it is and how to execute it.
