  1. HOW TO PAINT A PATTERN ON AN OVAL WALL STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR BASE First make sure you’re happy with the background colour of your wall. If it needs a fresh colour, now’s the time to do it. STEP 2: DRAW AN OVAL On your piece of paper, lightly sketch an oval form with your pencil. Then, cut out the shape. STEP 3: TAPE THE OVAL TO THE WALL The oval can be tacked to the wall in the preferred location using tiny pieces of masking tape. STEP 4: CHALK UP After drawing a line with chalk around the oval piece of paper, take it off the wall along with the tape. STEP 5: APPLY YOUR PAINT Apply paint with your paintbrush to the inside edge of the oval, then fill in the remaining area of the oval with your paint roller. Your oval is now complete.
