  1. How to paint a checkered wall with Color of the Year from Dulux

  2. Equipment required: The color of the product of your choice Roller and large tray 1 Roller and small tray 1 tape measure pencil wrinkled masking tape level measuring tool scissors

  3. Step 1: Primer Paint, primer paint first. Using a roller to paint the walls of the room, let it dry (may take 2-4 hours).

  4. Step 2: Measure and Mark the Vertical Strips See how wide you want the grid and vertical lines. Then measure and mark the top of the wall. Make sure they are spaced evenly.

  5. Step 3: Use the chalk line as a guide. Cut the rope to length and use masking tape to attach one end to the first mark at the height of the ceiling. Attach the key to the other end to act as a counterweight. The rope will hang vertically. Paint the rope with chalk and flick it against the wall to create a chalk line. Repeat for the other vertical lines.

  6. Step 4: Masking Tape Attach the masking tape to the edge of the strip. Using chalk lines as a guide
