    1. A Fourth Grade Poetry Anthology By Ms. Pleasant’s Class 2004-2005

    3. A Dedication… This anthology is dedicated to all the hard-working students in my classroom this year. From the very beginning we have struggled to make ourselves the best we could be. Here at the end, that challenge became more difficult, but WE HAVE SURVIVED!!! If you have learned nothing else this year, I hope you have all learned that to succeed means to work hard, and that there is no task which you cannot do if you at least try. To say I’m proud of each of you would be an understatement. I will never forget this class, for you have helped me to learn many new things– especially technology-based things! I will always hold each of you in my heart. Best of luck in all that you ever may do. Ms. Pleasant June, 2005

    4. If I Ruled the School by Bret Snodderly If I ruled the school, Recess would last all day. The teachers would do all the work, While the kids would only play. If I ruled the school, Lunch would always be pizza and ice cream. Kids would never have to pull cards. It would never happen, but I can dream. Can’t I?

    5. Day After Dayby Andrew Volz Long days, short days Morning haze, sunny days, 7 days in a week, 4 seasons in a year. Some rainy days come with thunder, Other days come with blunders, Snowy days come with laughter, Weekdays move much faster. Seasons come and seasons go, School days are a blow. Summer days bring bathers, cooled off with water sprayers!

    6. OutsidebyHeather Callahan No matter whether there’s sun or rain going outside would be giving you fresh air to play or whatever you want to do. Watching the birds fly around, and seeing many colorful flowers bloom everywhere. May the outside air smell fresh and breathe softly, What fun to be outside!

    7. My Poem by Jeff Carter-Williams My poem is about the outdoors… It was a good day, a bright, sunny day. Birds were singing, mice were in their houses. Cats eating rats, the hens in the pens. 2 minutes later they were looking at TV. I wish that were me.

    8. I love Willy. He is a bit silly. He likes this dude named Billy, but he is still silly Willy. I love Briar. He loves getting into tires. That little old flier… He’s still my little buddy, Briar.

    9. My CatbyBritnie Moyer My cat is fat. All he does is lie around like a mat. He likes a pat on his head, and thinks he needs to be read every minute. He likes to go to bed a lot, and he likes to fight with other cats. He likes to be bad, and might start to bite. His name is Salem.

    10. Spring is Here by Lexi Kalkbrenner Flowers, flowers everywhere, daisies, pansies, tulips too. I like the pretty colors of spring. How about you? I hear a bird singing a very pretty song. I see the cute little squirrels playing all day long.

    11. Good ExcusebyKerry Caraballo My Brother ate my science book, And my Mom ate my math! My Dad ate my Language Arts book, And my dog ate my Spanish book for next week’s test! I think I’m going crazy. We had homework dinner last night. Please don’t send me to the Principal’s office- It was only for one night!

    12. This or ThatbyJasmine Rafter Cereal, oatmeal or waffles, Which one would you like? Hot doges, pizza or ravioli, Which one would you choose? Turkey, hamburgers or chicken, Which one will you have? Ice cream, brownies or cupcakes, Which one do you prefer? Pick one! Pick one! This or that! This or that! Pick one for breakfast, lunch and dinner, And don’t forget the snack!

    13. Everyday Everyday I go to school and my brothers ride the bus I use my day to its fullest. And the bus is very boring for us. On Halloween I see a chip of moon, A broken bone is high and silent. Cold. Alone, but dance a tune. The wind sings to the white, bone moon! When Christmas comes we have no time to spend. Because it will almost be the end. But when summer comes we get to play! Play! Play! AND NO MORE SCHOOL!

    14. Stars by Jonathan Kendle It is night, the stars are bright. Sometimes they are my nightlight. I like to look at them— 1 was blue. Once I looked-- there were only a few. I look at one certain one, and name it Sue. I like them very much, and hope you do too!

    15. Talladaga by Kevin Maxfield

    16. Halloweenby Lucas Bagley My Mom is getting costumes for my sisters, and is getting candy for Halloween. The prices are way low at Walmart, and I ask her why we are at Walmart 24/7!

    17. Saturday Morning by Cody Barnette I woke up Saturday morning, the sun shining in my eyes. I turned on the music loudly, causing everyone else to rise. Ate some breakfast, watched cartoons, then went outside to play. Running around with my friend, Ben, until the dark ends the day.

    18. My DogbyMatthew Jones I have a big dog. He eats like a hog. He sleeps on his back, and thinks he’s a cat! He sat on the couch, instead of the floor, he plays Tug-A-War, but when you’re done, he wants more. I love my dog very much, even though he eats my lunch!

    19. Pimping Your Ride by Jay Holbrook With the nitrous tank strapped to the bottom, hydraulics bouncing up and down, the gold spinning rims, the high beam lights, shining in your eye. New paint job, Running lights on, The windows tinted, stereo blaring, This is all the stuff you need to have a pimping ride.
