Revalidation Pilot Toolkit Introduction The Revalidation Pilot Toolkit (RPT) has been developed by DH on behalf of the RST to support the piloting of the strengthened medical appraisal process There have been 2 releases so far and the 3rd release will incorporate the Responsible Officer functionality

Responsible Officer (RO) – Key Functionality Responsible Officers will be assigned to an organisation by the toolkit support administrators There will be 1 RO per NHS organisation By Default an RO will have access to all appraisees in that organisation However, mapping individuals across organisations can be accomplished to take into account conflicts of interests The RO will view highlights of their appraisees through the ‘RO Dashboard’ The RO can select individuals to review and drill down into their appraisal history The RO can make notes on an individual Recommendations on revalidation are not incorporated into the toolkit

Responsible Officer Dashboard – Detailed Information The ‘Responsible Officer Dashboard’ will show the following information Appraisee name GMC Number Appraiser name Number of completed appraisals Last completed appraisal date (if any) Next appraisal agreed date (if any) Red/Amber/Green visual display of the appraisers last GMP Scores Red/Amber/Green visual display of the appraisers last Four Statements The dashboard allows the RO to search for individuals The dashboard allows for basic sorting on most of the items of information
