2. Session Objectives At the completion of this presentation, the learner will be able to write objectives which will correctly include the ABCD method as demonstrated.

3. What are Educational Objectives? • measurable expressions of what you want the learner to be able to achieve • incorporate words which are open to fewer interpretations • i.e.. “to list” not “know”

5. Bloom’s Taxonomy • Hierarchical order -- simplest (i.e. “list”) to most complex (i.e. “evaluate”) • Domains • Cognitive / Knowledge • Affective • Psychomotor

6. The ABCD Method • AUDIENCE Who will do the learning? • BEHAVIOR What will the learner know, do or feel? • CONDITION Under what conditions, time limitations or resources will the learner perform? • DEGREE What degree of measurement will be used to determine if the performance is acceptable?
