This doesn’t make significant value addition to their respective field of study. • Scholars should, therefore, better choose a radically new topic within the broad area of specialization to make an original contribution.

  3. Choosing an Obscure and Irrelevant Topic • Choosing an obscure topic will make it difficult to find enough literature body and available sources unless which the research will be a superfluous effort. • In the long run it adversely affects researchers by letting their interests fall downand will not add any originality. • Therefore, researchers should always choose topics, which are appropriate for their knowledge and compelling for the stake holders.

  4. Asking Supervisor to Select Your Topic • Don’t ask your supervisor to select the research topic or develop research question for you. This may lead to plagiarism, copyright theft, or redundancy. • It is better to take supervisor’s advice at the initial stage of topic selection as they have much more experience, but don’t burden them with the task entirely.

  5. Random Selection of Supervisor • Selection of Ph.D supervisor is a crucial work that influences students’ entire research experience. • So, research aspirants should carefully consider a few things while choosing their guide for Ph.D. • Search for a supervisor, who have enough knowledge in the area of your research interest and who can guide and motivate you thoroughly.
