Did you know that while most non immigration visas require you to state that you are not planning to apply for a green card, E2 Visa holders can apply for a green card even if they are coming to the US as a non-immigrant? The Green Card is Received on the Basis of Various Conditions which are: 1. Employment based immigration: In this the employer is required to go through the Labor certification process which can take up to six months. Other petitions for visa include EB-1 classification (Aliens of Extraordinary Ability or Multinational Managers or Executives) and the National Interest Waiver (NIW)

  2. 2. Family based immigration: A relative who is a resident of U.S can sponsor you a green card as well. 3. Adjustment of Status: This process requires an E2 Visa holder to relinquish treaty trader program rights. However it is important that an Attorney is consulted first to know the legal implications of this step. 4. EB-5 Immigrant category: This is a category taken up by E2 Investors who can invest a notable amount of capital in United States. The amount varies on different geographic locations. Commonly it ranges from $500,000-$1 million.
