  1. UNDERSTANDING MANIFOLD VALVES: 2 VALVE, 3 VALVE AND 5 VALVE MANIFOLDS

  2. WHAT IS A VALVE MANIFOLD?  Valves manifolds are one of the most important part of industries where in fluids are used or manufactured. Control the high pressure fluid flow to regulating the pressure, these valves perform a variety of functions.  In accordance with their usage, this valves come with several different configurations. The common types of valves are used in this system include ball, bleed, needle, and vent.  In some situation, two or more different requirements have to be fulfilled. This necessitates use of two or more valves at a single place in the system. it can be inefficient and takes double the space.  This issue was solved by configuring a valve manifold.

  3. UNDERSTANDING VALVE MANIFOLDS  Firstly, we must gather a basic understanding of what a valve manifold is, Manifolds are instruments that come with one or more valves, which can be connected to a transmitter.  There are some specially designed manifolds to be mounted to a pressure transmitter. They are mostly made of stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloys.

  4. ADVANTAGES OF A MANIFOLD VALVE  It can be fitted in smallest of spaces owing to their compact size.  the transmission paths are shorter than normal systems, the fluctuations in heat and pressure drops are minimized.  Minimum chances of oil leak due to less number of connections.  Improved layout due to less hoses and connections.  Manifolds are easy to install and hence reduce the installation cost of several valves.

  5. TYPES OF MANIFOLD AVAILABLE AT THE TRANSMITTER SHOP At the Transmitter Shop, we offer high quality manifolds that are manufactured with stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloys. These valves are available in three different configurations:  2-Valve Manifolds  3-Valve Manifolds  5-Valve Manifolds

  6. 2-VALVE MANIFOLDS  This 2-way manifolds valves are used for general plant service, standard pressure and differential pressure transmitters.  It designed in a single block with male or female screwed inlet and outlet ports, combining an isolation valve and calibration/vent (bleed) valve.  The block valve is designed with a blue handle and the bleed valve is designed with a red handle.

  7. 3-VALVE MANIFOLDS  This 3-way manifolds valves are used in pressure and differential transmitters, it consists of 1 equalizing valve and 2 blocking valves. pressure  One blocking valve at the high-pressure side and the other at the low-pressure side are designated with blue handles.  The one equalizing valve is designated in green and it is between the high and low process connections of the pressure instrument to provide equal pressures on both sides.

  8. 5-VALVE MANIFOLDS  This 5-way manifolds valves are used in pressure and transmitters, it consists of 1 equalizing valve, 2 block valves and 2 bleeding valves.  The 2 bleed valves are designed with red and allow for venting of trapped pressure through a tube.  One blocking valve at the high-pressure side and the other at the low-pressure side are designated with blue handles.  The 1 equalizing valve is designed in green and it is between the high and low process connections of the pressure instrument to provide equal pressures on both sides. differential pressure
