Ex-Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan survived an alleged assassination attempt on Thursday while attending a political rally in the Gujranwala town of the park-occupied Punjab province. A bullet hit the Tehreek-e-Insaf chief in his leg and thigh. One person died in the attack, and several others were injured.

Imran Khan Shot in Leg, Party Alleges Assassination Attempt Ex-Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan survived an alleged assassination attempt on Thursday while attending a political rally in the Gujranwala town of the park-occupied Punjab province. A bullet hit the Tehreek-e-Insaf chief in his leg and thigh. One person died in the attack, and several others were injured. A video showed Imran waving from a truck when shots were fired, and a few of his party members got injured trying to over him. Asad Umar, Tehreek-e-Insaf secretary general, confirmed that a bullet hit the ex-Pak PM in his leg, chipping his bone, and pellets also injured his thigh.
