  1. When it comes to legendary automotive brands, Jeep is right up there. From being the maker of a war-ready rugged workhorse to becoming synonymous with the outdoors, Jeep has come a long way. The automaker entered the Indian market in 2017 with the Compass. Today we help you know all about Jeep. Presented By: Car Lelo

  2. Jeep HistoryJeep got its start manufacturing the legendary CJ series 4x4s for the allied forces during World War II. The company was formed after the war when it started selling civilian versions. Jeep isarguably the first automaker to make vehicles that we call SUVs today.

  3. Jeep Lineup India Jeep has a variety of SUVs in its lineup that caters to basically everything you can think of. In India, the automaker currently has three models in its range. There’s the Compass, the brand-new Meridian, and the Wrangler.

  4. Jeep India Prices The Jeep Compass is the most affordable offering from the brand in India. Prices start from Rs 19.27 lakh for the base model. On the other end, the Wrangler is the automaker’s flagship product in India and is priced at Rs 57.83 lakh. Do note all prices are ex-showroom.

  5. Jeep Exterior DesignAs Jeep exclusively makes SUVs, all of its models have an imposing road presence. All models in the American automaker’s lineup feature the iconic 7-slat grille that has been the brand’s trademark since the original CJ series. The Wrangler is a direct successor and traces its lineage back to the CJ, while the Compass is a new-generation SUV that is modern but still has Jeep DNA.

  6. Jeep Interior Being the maker of some of the toughest vehicles, it is no surprise that Jeep usually made barebones interiors that had functionality as the top priority. The Wrangler still uses this mantra for its interior that you can literally hose down after a day of off-roading. In comparison, the Compass features a more car-like modern interior with touchscreen infotainment systems, soft touch leather, and creature comforts.

  7. Jeep Safety FeaturesAll Jeep models come with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX mounts as standard.Furthermore, all models get features like lane departure warning with lane keep assist, blindspot monitoring, and a forward collision warning system with active braking.

  8. Upcoming Jeep ModelsJeep is planning to expand its lineup in India. Currently selling 3 models in the country, thecompany will launch a few new models in the upcoming months. Jeep is gearing up the Grand Cherokee, Renegade and the new made-in-India sub-4 metre SUV for launch in the country.
