IIFT MBA (IB) 2019 Introduction Selection Process Fee Structure Exam Pattern Previous Results ❑ The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous Centre of Excellence in international trade and business to help professionalize the country’s foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources, analyzing and disseminating data and conducting research. ❑ Starting as a think tank for the Government, IIFT moved on by the 1990s to become a business school. It was accorded the status of a Deemed University in 2002. ❑ The IIFT campuses are located at Delhi and Kolkata. Candidates in final year of the qualifying degree course can also apply. ❑ There is no age limit for entrance to the IIFT MBA program. Selection Process ❑ There are 220 seats in Delhi campus and 200 seats in Kolkata campus. Seats are reserved as per Government of India’s norms. ❑ You can visit the IIFT website to fill in the online Application form as per details given in the website. IIFT MBA (IB) 2019 Introduction Selection Process Fee Structure Exam Pattern Previous Results The exam is divided into six sections Quantitative Ability Logical Reasoning Data Interpretation Reading Comprehension Verbal Ability General Awareness The IIFT score card will consist the maximum marks of a section, sectional cut-off, marks obtained by the candidate in the section, total score and percentile. IIFT MBA (IB) 2019 Introduction Selection Process Fee Structure Exam Pattern Previous Results Writing skills assessment, group discussion and interview ❑ The candidates who pass the IIFT written test 2019 will be further called for writing skills assessment, group discussion and personal interview rounds. ❑ For writing skills assessment, candidates will be provided a topic related to general or business affairs. The average time allotted to draft an essay of around 300 words is 20 minutes. ❑ In the group discussion (GD) round, the candidates are divided into groups of 10-12 and given a topic. Candidates are expected to take initiative, communicate efficiently and present their ideas effectively. Initially, the candidates are given a few minutes to think, then each candidate is allowed to put their viewpoint in 1-1.5 minutes and after that the floor is open for discussion for 15-20 minutes. ❑ Last is the personal interview (PI) where the panelists ask questions to the candidate. 8 Copyright © 2019 Cereblence Technologies Pvt. IIFT MBA (IB) 2019 Introduction Selection Process Fee Structure Exam Pattern Previous Results For MBA (IB) batch 2018-20: Rs. 8,35,000 Delhi: Rs. 47,000 per year (triple occupancy); Rs. 57,000 per year (double occupancy) Kolkata: Rs. 57,000 (single occupancy) around Rs. 5,000 per month Rs. 32,500 (1st year); Rs. 22,500 (2nd year) Annual tuition fee (General & OBC (NCL)) Hostel fee Mess charges Other charges (computer, internet, library, etc.) The students of SC, ST and PWD category are given 50% concession on tuition fee only.
