There are the obvious limitations of the warranty and misuse, abuse and negligence are the major clauses mentioned there. Thus, you should learn how to clean CPAP machine and wash it regularly so that its lifetime and efficiency increases and that will lead to considerable savings later on, even more than the amount you need to spend on the cleaning. CPAP parts must be taken apart and taken care of, individually. They require different techniques. For wouldn't clean the filter the way you might wash the outer casing of the machine. The outer casing must be cleaning example, you wiped clean using a mild detergent and water, using a clean and soft wipe. There are specialised CPAP wipes as well, available for this purpose only. The filter, on the other hand, must be replaced when it is too dirty or becomes torn. The frequency of changing depends on the environment. The dirtier the air is, quicker the filter gets dirty and after a certain point, it can't be cleaned either. The mask itself should be cleaned daily and weekly, using different methods of course. The daily cleaning can be done using mild soap detergent on the cushion. Be careful to be gentle so you don't tear the filter up. During the weekly cleaning, the filter, along with the headgear and the frame, must be cleaned as well. Let the parts dry completely before putting them back in the machine.
