  1. DO’S AND DONT’S AFTER A TOOTH EXTRACTION

  2. DO REST After tooth extraction, try to get some rest. When resting, keep the head in a slightly upright position on the pillow.

  3. USE ICE PACKS Apply an ice pack to the outside of the mouth for 15-20 minutes to reduce swelling after the surgery.

  4. USE COTTON GAUGE There is going to be some amount of bleeding, and you need to keep a gauze pad for at least 45 minutes after the extraction.

  5. DON'T SMOKE Stop smoking for at least 48 hours following the extraction, because the chemicals in the smoke can affect the clot.

  6. DON'T EAT HARD FOODS After the process, take soft and liquid foods like soups, milkshakes, smoothies, etc, until the numbness gets over.
