  1. THINGS TO CONSIDER WHILE PAINTING YOUR CAR

  2. Clean your surroundings properly. Make sure you do not paint your car under trees because something can drop onto the wet paint. PREPARATION

  3. Start sanding away using circular motions. The best finish is achieved by sanding the entire car with a perfectly smooth finish. STRIPPING

  4. COVERING Cover up the areas you don’t want to paint like keyholes, window glass, headlights, door handles, trims, weather stripping, taillights, and tires by using masking tape or plastic sheet.

  5. COVERING Take the time to cover properly as this will avoid unsightly overspray. The tape protects these parts from paint yet does no damage or leaves no marks behind.

  6. PAINTING Mix the paint with thinner using proper ratio. Apply the topcoat paint using the same spray technique. Make it dry for 10 minutes and apply the next coat.

  7. QUALITY PRIMER Always use a high-quality primer. Primer protects the body from the paint, which can cause oxidation if applied directly to the body panels.

  8. QUALITY PRIMER The primer also helps the paint stick to the body panels. Therefore, it is important to use a high-quality primer to ensure a long-lasting paint finish.

  9. MAKE IT TRANSPARENT Clear coat paint is the last step. Use the same technique as spraying paint. Apply clear coat paint after an hour of coloured paint. For a shiny look, keep it aside and let it dry properly.
