  1. OUR SINGULAR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE TRAINING GRANTS TO FIRST RESPONDERS FOR FLOOD RESCUE TRAINING. Annual flooding is getting worse in the United States and around the world. Changing rain patterns, rising sea levels, and increasing business development are leading to catastrophic flooding in urban areas. We can’t stop the rain from coming or the water from rising, but we can ensure that our first responders are prepared for when it does.

  2. Only 8% of first responders have flood rescue training in the century of global climate change. Flood Rescue Foundation was established in 2017 to provide flood rescue training grants that enable first responders to train safely, effectively and affordably. The grants we bestow and the scholarships we provide impact regional disaster resilience and capability, reduce the number of lives at risk, and directly affect GDP. OUR MISSION Flooding is the number one threat to humans as ocean levels rise and rain patterns chart new territory. Our mission is to ensure that all first responders have access to safe, clean, and free indoor flood rescue training.

  3. Traditionally, flood rescue training has been limited to creeks, swimming pools, and boat ramps. This has led to a higher- than-normal death rate among first responders. Flood Rescue Foundation seeks to end this cycle by making all flood rescue training free for first responders around the US and hopefully around the planet. OUR IMPACT The largest workman’s compensation related claims are from injuries that first responders receive during outdoor water-related training. Diverting training funds to indoor, controlled environments reduces the risk of cuts, breaks, infection, and death. Training should be free of charge so departments no longer have to choose whom they send to training—we ensure departments are able to send more people to training which improves safety for the whole community.
