  1. Our goal at Recreate Life Counseling is to provide clients with the tools and resources for long term recovery. Recovery is a challenging process, but we believe that it can be a vehicle for a life that is infinitely rich and rewarding.   2. Type of Therapy We Offer:- Individual Therapy Group Therapy Family Therapy Medical and Psychiatric Services Case Management Services

  3. Individual Therapy:- These are one on sessions between the client and a therapist who is familiar with their situation. Individual therapy tends to focus on the internal life of the client, on the cognitive and emotional disruptions that have led them to a life controlled by addiction. Many of these are intimate and longstanding. As a result, they often respond better in a private setting, where the client can open up and discuss aspects of their mental life that have pained them for many years. These sessions often include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy component, although the addiction counseling may choose other modes as well.

  4. Group Therapy:- This is peer based treatment moderated by an addiction counselor. Our clients often meet in a group setting, to discuss the challenges and rewards they are experiencing as they navigate the recovery process. Group therapy is designed to allow clients to learn from one another, as well as from the clinical knowledge of the counselor. It shows clients that they are not alone in their affliction. It also helps to develop the type of bonds and relationships that are necessary for a rewarding recovery. Group therapy also allows clients to see firsthand how effective certain recovery techniques have proven to be in their peers’ lives. This encourages them to see their challenges from a variety of perspectives, and to remain open to new and diverse strategies for healthy living. The focus in group therapy varies depending on clients’ needs, but in general it emphasizes the daily struggles addicts face at home and at work.

  5. Family Therapy:- This is the component of addiction counseling that addresses the relationships within the family. The counselor meets with family members, in both individual and group settings, helping to resolve areas of conflict and explore possibilities for future emotional growth. Our counselors share their experience with effective coping strategies, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Healthy family relationships are crucial to long term recovery, and with effective counseling these necessary bonds can be recreated in a way that is rewarding to the addict and their loved ones alike.

  6. Medical and Psychiatric Services:- When necessary, our Intensive Outpatient Programs provide the option of psychiatric and medical assistance for our clients. This is especially important in the case of persons suffering from a dual diagnosis. Our counseling staff works in conjunction with our medical professionals to find a comprehensive treatment program for them, one that includes the best of both talk therapies and psychiatric medication. Our doctors take the time to familiarize themselves with both the client and their medical history. They have years of experience proscribing for the special needs of persons struggling with addiction, and understand the optimal combinations of medications and therapies that are conducive to long term recovery.

  7. Case Management Services:- Recovery can seem like a complicated process, especially at the beginning. That’s one of the reasons Recreate Life Counseling provides Case Management Services for clients. Your case manger will coordinate your plan for recovery, beginning with the Intensive Outpatient Program that fits your needs and continuing after you leave our facility. They will connect you with the proper programs and ensure that you receive the best possible care. They will work with our addiction counseling team and our psychiatric providers to provide the support and structure you need for the short and long term.
