I have been diving since April 2018 and logged 100 + successful dives in different parts of the world. As a scuba diver, I have had the opportunity to explore the world’s popular dive locations and some of them were really amazing, enjoyable, and even adventurous. Scuba in Havelock The Andaman Islands archipelago is impressive, untouched, and hidden with antique marine life. The crystal clear waters of Andaman have evolved and sheltered more than 1430 species of fishlife and many other rare marine creatures including the Dugong (sea cow). Swaraj Dweep also known as Havelock Island was the perfect dive destination for my first scuba dive expedition in Andamans. The place incredibly excites me to explore diverse fishlife and great coral formations. Topography of Havelock Island Havelock Island is located approximately 70 kilometers northeast of the capital city of Port Blair. Havelock Island is 8 km (5 mi) wide and entertains a 58.5 km (36.35 mi) long coastline. It has the highest point called Yulutang while the highest elevation reaches to 167 m (548ft). The Island is covered with evergreen tropical forests along with the formation of mangroves on the coastline. It has wide-open pristine white sandy beaches, unique coral reefs right after the coastline, clear blue waters, and a wide range of colourful sea animals that will really seduce you to add it to your bucket list.
