I’ve never worked with anyone with any kind of disability so I feel like I’ve personally gained. I was a bit shaky at the start, but once you develop the relationship with the students and a different level of communication and a new approach to teaching, to me it’s a whole new experience With the new technology, the students are more into it than what they have been in previous years. The students have been a lot more interested. So many of our students are visual, creative learners. Having a range of strategies caters for that range of learning methods. There's a lot of spill over. It's not just what you guys are doing in TAFE. It's extended into your home and social lives. don’t underestimate people with disabilities I feel like we've just got the tip of the iceberg What critical thing have you learnt from this project?
Having a support teacher for the students was important Being creative with technology. Seeing someone on TV and saying, "Yep, I'm going to do that" Sophisticated and simple technology. The thing I was impressed with is that these technologies are day-to-day things, not just occasional things. More comments
