  2. Introduction • The Goofy Ones was a very successful funny programme that got recognition by making jokes and putting each other in embarrassing situations.

  3. The Cast • The original group was Wanderley Cardoso, Ivon Cury, Ted Boy Marino, Renato Aragão and Manfried Sant’anna. But they become famous when Antônio Carlos Bernardes Gomes and Mauro Faccio Gonçalves replaced three of them.

  4. The characters Antônio Carlos Bernardes Gomes as “Mussum” Mauro Faccio Gonçalves as “Zacarias” Manfried Sant’anna as “Dedé” Renato Aragão as “Didi Mocó”

  5. Journey • It started in 1966 at TV Excelsior of São Paulo. • On TV Record they were called “The unsociable ones“. When they moved to TV Tupi, they changed the name to “The Goofy ones" and there they got the highest audience ratings. • In 1977 they made their third and last move from one tv station to Globo network.

  6. Curiosities Besides the programme they made a lot of films. More than 120 million of people watched their films, and seven of them are amongst the most seen in Brazilian cinema history.

  10. Success • The TV programme reached 60 points on Ibope against only 12 points of the second place. • They got on Guiness Book as the programme that stayed the longest on air.
