National festivals of India Independence Day India got its independence from the British on 15th of august 1947. From that year 15th august is celebrated as Independence day of India.
National festivals of India Republic Day After getting independence from India, India made their own constitution on 1950. After that each years 26th January is celebrated as Republic day
