  1. What Is Excess Stock? This is a representation of overbuying, orders that were cancelled, late deliveries, or even erroneous predictions. Excess inventory can occur as a result of a product's cycle being disrupted. Technical difficulties, supply delays, and other issues such as product quality can all cause disruptions.
