  1. 5 STEPS TO DEALING WITH A FROZEN HVAC UNIT

  2. Turn off System: Turn Off the System If you see your HVAC unit freezing, switch it off right away This stops more damage and lets things thaw out naturally.

  3. Check Your Thermostat Make sure your thermostat is set to heat, the fan is on auto, and the temperature is higher than the room. This helps thaw things out and keeps the system working right

  4. Inspect the Air Filters Keep air filters clean to avoid blockages. Change or clean them regularly, especially in winter when the system works harder.

  5. Inspect the Condensate Drain Check the drain for clogs and clear them. Use warm water or a pipe cleaner to remove any blockages.

  6. Clear the Area Around Your HVAC Unit Get rid of any snow, ice, or stuff blocking airflow around the outdoor unit. This keeps things running smoothly
