  1. A Concise Introduction toFluid Intelligence Definition Do you have friends who always know how to solve an unexpected issue, know what to say and do in any given situation? Do you often find your colleagues orfriends answering tough questions without prior preparation? Don’t be surprised – they don’t possess superhuman abilities, just asuperbrain! The human mind is like a complex matrix full of unknown variables. Understanding how your brain works is fundamental for achieving a superbrain. In this article, we will discuss one of the important components of in intelligence. You willlearn what fluid intelligence definition is and why it’s crucial to learn more aboutit. What is FluidIntelligence?

  2. So what’s the fluid intelligencedefinition? As described by American psychologist and founded of the term, Raymond Cattell, fluid intelligence is the power which enables humans the mental ability to embrace dynamic and unknown problems. Fluid intelligence is what gives us the ability to adapt to new environments and learn new things. It empowers us with the capability of thinking abstractly andsolving creative problems. It’s only this brain phenomenon that enables you and I the ability to step outside our usual routine and think outisde thebox. Fluid intelligence, is one of the two types of intelligences introduced by Cattell. The other types on intelligence is called crystallized intelligence. It is based on the acquired knowledge, skills and experiences collected throughout theyears. Both, fluid and crystallized intelligence, provides us with the ability to solve complex problems and shape the world aroundus.

  3. What Is The Difference Between Fluid And Crystallized Intelligence? Both of these two general forms of intelligence are necessary for a healthy and balanced life. They do varythough. We use fluid intelligence when solving novel problems, without any previous experience or knowledge. This form of intelligence is reported to drop as we age. It is thought to be in its peak during ouradolescence. Crystallized intelligence, on the other hand, is behind the decisions that we take from experiences, based on previous encounters with a given class of problem. It continues developing untill you’re 60 or 70 years of age. It experiences its peak after mid-life. High levels of fluid intelligence usually increase yourcrystallized

  4. intelligence, but not vice versa. As Jim Kwik, Author of Mindvalley’s Superbrain Quest, says “The brain doesn’t learn through consumption, it learns throughcreation.” What is an example of fluidintelligence? As fluid intelligence helps us reason and solve new problems, it usually shapes the more creativedecisions. When riding a bike for the first time, kids don’t have specific agendas or plans about their action. They just follow technical and intuitive advice until they get the hang of it. Finding your way in the new city, solving puzzles or reframing existing issues and coming up with new problem-solving strategies – these are all examples of utilizing fluidintelligence. What is an example of crystallizedintelligence? Since crystallized intelligence is behind your ability to learn new things and explore new grounds, you can realize it pretty quickly. Reading this article and remembering the key points to our discussion is an example of crystallizedintelligence. Why Does Fluid Intelligence Decline WithAge? As discussed above, fluid intelligence tends to decrease as we age. There are certain theories behind this decline. The most accepted notion is that certain brain functions deteriorate as we age. Inadequate practice in early life is also credited for reducing your fluid intelligence levels. Both crystallized and fluid intelligence are essential for a healthy life. However, people who have higher fluid intelligence usually acquire new knowledge (AKA crystallized intelligence) faster than people with a low level of fluidintelligence.

  5. Make improving your fluid intelligence a top priority – use brain training, expose yourself to a novel situations and practice learning fromothers.
