Limited capacity was a serious challenge.  They had two options - increase the output from their current square meters or ?nd a new factory, only the later wasn't really an option, because months of falling behind and late deliveries had lead to a poor cash situation. We saw the opportunity.  At the time they fabricated roofs of?ine in a production process that took 8 hours for every roof.  After a consultation process, we successfully implemented a solution that took the build time from 8

2. hours to 1 hour. Because of the new reduction in assembly time the customer no longer required so many roof assembly bays, reducing the number of bays created more ?oor space. And because of the newly created space they could install another assembly line, without having to invest in expanding their current footprint. With this new found capacity it wasn't long before they had ful?lled all outstanding contracts and could go out and tender for new business again.
