  2. WHAT NOT TO PACK WHILE GOING FOR OVERSEAS EDUCATION? • An opportunity for overseas education also brings with its order in a student’s life. All of a sudden life experiences new emotions and tendencies with the promise of a good life. The day of packing up for the incredible journey of a life-changing education is a very special moment. Thus it only makes sense to give this moment a well-executed action that it rightfully deserves. We hereby present you with some dos and don’ts when it comes to packing up while going for Overseas Education.

  3. BOOKS • Books though are a person’s best friend in times of boredom and recluse, they also occupy much space in a person’s luggage. This is not to say that it can’t be carried at all. Rather, buying a Kindle or arranging the best books in PDF formats in laptop and mobile may serve that very purpose in a much better way.

  4. FOOD • At times we and our parents may be apprehensive about food in other countries. We are tempted to believe that food will be a huge problem overseas. Nothing could be further from the truth. As much as we are proud of our cuisines, its variety, and mouth-watering tastes; other countries also have a full menu of options to choose from. The US, UK, and Europe are rated among the best in food quality, tastes, and health. And what good may it serve to pack ourselves with loads of perishable items, when those very things are also available elsewhere. Moreover, it may cause custom-issues and you may also be asked to discard them before boarding the flight. Ease yourself and ease your baggage.

  5. SHOES • We believe, no more than 3 pairs of shoes (1 formal, 1 casual, 1 sport) be carried that will take care of all your requirements for all occasions. In fact, why not leave some room for shopping from abroad. 1 pair of long boots can, however, be taken as an add-on for very cold regions like Canada.

  6. NOSTALGIA • Remember Tony Stark’s quote in Iron Man?? “Pepper, I’ve been called many things, nostalgic is not one of them.” It’s always better for us, not to cling ourselves with items of childhood, school days (photographs, gifts, dairy etc.) and the like. You are going to some serious study, don’t mess yourself up with letting time pass by, refrain yourself from indulging too much with past memories. The time is soon going to be over and you will eventually have to show up and perform for whatever you will learn in the coming 2-3 years. Time is Short, Get Hold of it.

  7. ACCESSORIES • Except for bare essentials or absolute must items to help you with the initial few weeks, it’s not worthwhile to pack up with loads of such items. In fact, once you are in a different country, you’ve got to adapt yourself up in those new surroundings and environment.

  8. CLOTHES • Who doesn’t want to take along the faded jeans and lucky t-shirts those just refuse to vacate your wardrobe despite all logical reasons. Even after eliminating most stuff, it is seen that we are just so very good with filling our baggage up to the last inch of space available. You shouldn’t worry much though, because inevitably even after leaving out this much, the baggage will still carry quite a lot of stuff. But, here we will definitely recommend you to study the climate and weather conditions of the host country and plan accordingly for clothing stuff.

  9. GADGETS & ELECTRONIC ITEMS • Some items like laptops and mobile phones are a definite must. But things like i-pod, kindle, VR-glasses, Bluetooth speakers, cameras, fitness bands can’t be lived without. Most of the electronic items will only add to much clutter when those very requirements can be met by using just the laptop and mobiles.

  10. BIG SUITCASE • This one thing will be sufficient to take care of meeting much of the other things to avoid. Buy yourself a small luggage bag and you will verily be forced to stash much of your items within it. This will help to filter the best & the must-haves from the good ones & should have.
