5.a. Production Oriented Training Scheme ( P.O.T.S.) Under this scheme outside Jobs are done • Machining • Fabrication • Furniture Making • Welding • Painting • Two and Four wheeler Vehicle repairs • Training Programmes as per requirements Revenue Generated in 2004-2005:Rs.19, 72,783/-
5.b. ObjectivesofPOTS.Production oriented training scheme • To save expenditure on raw material. • To increase the skills of trainees by giving exposure to work on the different jobs. • To increase ability and confidence of a trainee for self employment. • To purchase new machines and equipments out of the revenue generated. • 50% amount of labour cost to be distributed among staff and trainees concerned as per the provisions of G.R. i.e. EARN & LEARN.
6. Lok Seva Kendra Under this Scheme short term Training of different Trades is given to the Trainees from unorganised sector & for school drop outs & rendered different services to the Society. Duration of Training : 1 to 2 months Timing : 2 hours daily (After working Hours) No. of Trainees trained in 04 - 05 : 1208 Revenue Generated 04 - 05 : Rs.8, 05,700/- Motor Driving School(Recognized by R.T.O., PUNE) Under the driving school the trainees are trained on two different types four wheelers i.e. Petrol & Diesel Duration: One & half month Fees : 1500/- Trainees trained : 300 Fees Collected : 4,50,000/-
7. Vocational Training As per Demand Under this scheme free of Cost Training is given to SC / VJNT Trainees Trades:-Welding, Wireman, Car Driving, Two wheeler and Four wheeler repairs, Cutting & Tailoring, Mobile Repairing, hardware & PC maintenance, CAD,Fabrication etc. • No of trainees trained 04 - 05 :- 358 • Stipend 100/-- per month per Trainee is given • Free toolkit Worth Rs. 1000/- is Given to Trainees • Two Days Entrepreneurship Training is organised for the trainees .
8. National Service Scheme (NSS) Total Volunteers : 200 Nos. For Special Camp : 100 Nos. Special winter camp of 10 days was held at Loni Kalbhor (Kadam wak vasti) Dist: Pune Various Technical Works were done during this Camp. Conducted Classes of Cutting-Tailoring, Repairs of Electrical Appliances, Plumbing, Pump Repairs, TV, Tape-recorder, Radio repairs done. Various Technical & social services provided to villagers
9. 10. C.N.C. Training Centre • Total Trainee Trained:- 1394 • Total Revenue Generated From Jan 2003 to June 05 is Rs.13,94,000/- Under this the trainees are trained on 4 different types of Controllers 1. Siemens 2.Kirloskar 3.Fanuc 4.CNC Drilling Course duration: One monthTime: Daily 2 hours Fees : 1000/- Total No. Of Trainees trained in 2004-05: 590 Total No of Trainees Trained From various Discipline are as M.E. 12 ( 37) I.T.I. 103 (615) B.E. 27 (135) Others 24 (141) D.M.E. 81 (436) Total Tuition Fees collected in 04 -05 : Rs. 5,90,000/-
11a. Artisen to Technocrat In unorganized sector lot of skilled persons are working but they don’t possess certificate of skills . The skill testing scheme is initially started for Mason, Plumber & Carpenter from this year. Six skill levels are defined i.e. Artisen, Senior Artisen, Craftsman, Master Craftsman, Technician & Technocrat Every year skill test examination conducted three times i.e. first week of JAN,MAY,SEPT. Certification- jointly by Industries organisation & DVET; Exam fees for level first –Rs-500/- level second Rs-600/- For level Third Rs-700/-
11b.Artisen to Technocrat For the SCVT/NCVT pass outs from Mason, Plumber, Carpenter the part time vocational diploma courses are started in following Vocational diploma in carpentry & interior decoration Vocational diploma in building construction Vocational diploma in plumbing ( Level five i.e. Vocational Diploma is called as Technician) Fees Rs.300 per month Seats- 25 per course Exam fees-RS.1000/- Duration – Two years part time daily 5 pm to 8.30 pm Examination –BY MSBTE (Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education sixth Level will be vocational degree known as Technocrat From Sept. 05 The above 3 Part- time Vocational Diploma Courses started with its Full capacity

International Training Centre in Advanced Welding • JC BAMBFORD (JCB) & Govt. I.T.I. Aundh Pune Jointly run the Training Center For Three Months • 20 Trainees of Welder Trade Trained By Mr. Seth Admas (England) • FOUR Welder Instructor Also trained in TIG & MIG.
The trainees from COPA,DTP,SP,STGM, STGE are being trained with the help of JHIT Institute Duration– One and Half Month Fees – 1000/- (For I.T.I. Trainees) - 2000/- (For Others) Five batches completed. 100 trainees trained so for ,all got placement. Call Centre Assistant Training (CCT)

Major Achievements 1.In the year 2002-03 Shri. Lokhande SantoshTrade: Fitter stood Firstin All India level skill competition. 2 In the year 2003-04 Shri.Darekar Tanaji Trade:Machinist, stood Firstin All India level skill competition 3. In joint venture with Hidecore, National Chemical Laboratory and I.T.I. Aundh, non - C.F.C. Refrigerator Training program was arranged all over Maharashtra. Total 2000 trainees were trained under this program. 4. Translated Cimi books in Marathi are Printed. Till date about 60,000 books are printed and distributed to various Govt. I.T.I.s all over Maharashtra 5 For C.N.C & P.L.C. Training Program highly qualified students like M.E, B.E, D.M.E. participated. 6 Total No. Of Computers in the Institute are up to to 125 & one LAP-TOP. 7 Total 2000 Zilha Parsihad’s secondary and higher Secondary School Teachers from Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidharbha, were trained for Computer Training in the Institute. 8 90 Operators from Indian Petro Chemicals Ltd. Nagothane are trained in various trades in AVTS. Tailor-made programs are arranged for multi skills.& 40 Operators from IPCL Vadodara Gujrat were trained

Centre of ExcellenceEfforts Taken By the Department for the scheme of COE • Designing of the curriculum • Sector wise committees were formed, curriculum developed by these committees sent to industries for verification and their comments. • Curriculum For Advanced Modules For Different Sectors Also developed. ( The Curriculum developed by Maharashtra state particularly in Automobile, Production & Mfg, Ref & Air Conditioning , Chemical Sector approved by DG E&T, New Delhi.) (In this process Principals, training officers & Instructors along with officers at H.O. actively participated) • Selection Of Faculty (Instructor) • Selection of instructors for the scheme of COE is done by conducting theory ,practical & aptitude test by the panel consisting the industry experts in it. • Selected instructor made fully aware of the scheme of COE, its present need in globalization. • Infrastructure For COE 1. Considering the modules in the different sector selected, The relevant CTS trade units surrerendered and some are transferred from near by ITI.

t • In Aundh pune 96 Trainees are admitted (14 Girls+ 82 Boys) For Total 3 COE In Automobile sector in the state (Pune, Amrawati, Nagpur) 50 Girls & 253 Boys are being trained in the state. • Broad Based Basic Training is started in Six Different moduleswith a batch of 16 trainees each • Till Date each batch completed Two modules • Their Skills are assessed by Trade Instructors & recorded in the progress card.

Effort taken by the Department so as to Implement the CoE Scheme Effectively & Uniformly throughout the State • Instructors from all three CoE in Automobile sector called for two days workshop & formed the groups module wise & they have developed all training material required for their module respectively. • Instructors from all three CoE in Manufacturing & Production sector called for same workshop & formed the groups module wise & they have developed all training material required for their module respectively. • Training material developed by above groups as per syllabus of DGE&T is examined by experts & will be circulated shortly to all CoE of above sector through out Maharashtra state. • In this workshop the Industrial Experts related to this field from various Industries were called for giving required Inputs to the instructor.
Selection of Advanced Modules • In the IMC Meeting Discussion Regarding selection of Advanced modules is done & following Advanced Modules were Selected. • AAT-01 -- Servicing & Overhauling Of Automobiles (PETROL) • AAT-02 -- Servicing & Overhauling Of Automobiles (DIESEL) • AAT-03– Auto Electrical, Auto Electronics & Air Conditioning in Automobiles
Prerequisiteof CoE • Clear Guidelines regarding Industry driven module & Certification process. • All India Trade Test Exam. Pattern • Provision of Apprenticeship is to be made available for CoE pass outs (frequent enquiries from parents & Students). • Training to the Instructors & Principals to be arranged Abroad. So as to get more exposure to the world class training. • Industry organization should give active participation for the success of CoE Scheme.
