  2. Hylands Park • The Jamboree is being held at Hylands Park, Chelmsford. • The site is a typical English minor Stately home with landscaped grounds • In addition, some farmland is being used to the west. • We will see the site later today.

Site facilities - 1 Water • Fresh drinking water delivered around the site by a new water main laid for the Jamboree. • Additional water provided by tanks in key areas • Drinking water will be found in all sub camps and programme areas. • Water will be regularly tested by the local Water Authority

  8. Toilets Plumbed in toilet blocks will be provided in all sub camps. Facilities also provided in all programme and general areas. Some may not be plumbed in. Toilets also provided in Plaza, National Headquarters, Arena etc. Disabled facilities will be provided around the site. Some blocks of toilets will include squat/standing toilets Site facilities - 2

Site facilities - 3 Showers and washing facilities • Showers will be provided in all camping areas. • Washing facilities provided in all sub camps. • Separate facilities provided for male and female participants and adults. • Facilities for washing cooking equipment and laundry will also be provided.

  10. Site facilities - 4 Waste Disposal • The aim of the Jamboree is to be sustainable and therefore where ever possible we will • Reduce • Reuse • Recycle • Remove • We will have separate disposal points for different types of rubbish

  11. Transport around site • Our aim is to make the site vehicle free during the day with all service deliveries at night. • A roadway system will be installed around the site, some roads are permanent other temporary. • Grass paths will be marked and in certain areas will have temporary surfaces.

  12. Site Rules There are some rules that we must follow: • No holes are to be dug without permission of the land owner. • No fires are permitted (except camp fires in designated areas) • No trees or bushes are to be cut. • Don’t pollute any streams or ponds.

  13. Warehouse • The main warehouse area for the site will be located near gate 6 • Contingent containers will be delivered to the edge of the site. More details tomorrow.
