Gene Sommariva: Outdoorsman Gene Sommariva is an avid lover of nature, and the outdoors in general. Hailing from a small town in Pennsylvania, Gene became well acquainted with the rustics of nature as a child, and says that he is still in love with nature today. Gene enjoys camping trips and hikes through the wilderness, as well as long walks on an autumn day. Gene says that nature is like the highest form of art, one that all human art tries to emulate, but can never quite get right. Gene says being outdoors is exercise for both the body and spirit, and that everyone should take some time out of their day to stop and smell the roses.
Gene Sommariva: The Michelin Man Gene Sommarivahas held many positions in his life, all of which have fundamentally been a part of his development as a person. One of the most distinct transitioning periods for Gene was his time at the Michelin company. Michelin is a tire manufacturing company that originated in France, only to inevitably end up in America due to it's success. Gene said working for the company and being immersed in the highly competitive business arena gave him a sample of what it took to be a leading competitor in the business industry.
Gene Sommariva: Salesmanship Gene Sommariva is a salesman with a dedication to excellence. Gene says that he owes much of his success in the sales industry to his social skills and general knowledge of the business industry. Gene says that sales is an industry notorious for liars, but that in his experience, the honest salesman always does better than the dishonest one. Gene says success is simply a matter of having a good knowledge of a good product, and the rest works itself out. Gene currently works in sales at a pharmaceutical company, and has for the past fourteen years.
Gene Sommariva: Football Player Gene Sommariva loves sports, as well as the spirit of competition. Competitiveness is the heart of capitalism, and no sport better exemplifies that than football. Gene's passion for the game sparked as a child. Growing up in the football loving state of Pennsylvania, it seemed inevitable that Gene would develop a close fondness for the game. When he was old enough, Gene would find himself playing the game himself, and even excelling, becoming a starter on an all state team in Pennsylvania. Gene says the programs success was due to a great work ethic and team spirit.
